Powermac G3 on the way, and Sara’s new phone

Last Thursday, I was browsing ebay (a very dangerous thing), and found a Powermac G3 400 for only $29.99. With shipping it would come to $64.03. I thought to myself, “Self, that is an amazing deal, and would fit perfectly in our office in the house.” So I talked with Sara and [...]

The agony of self-defeating

So, today I decided I would finish up the devotions I need to write for camp, so I wrote out 5 pretty decent devotions. Then I show them to Sara, and see the things that I need to revise… then she asks the dreaded question… “Did you ask Charles (the Dean of the Camp) [...]

Finally, an update!

Sorry for the long time between… I busted up my left pinky finger, and it was pretty nasty for a while. I’ve only now been able to type properly with it for longer than a few minutes without hurting. I’ll probably post a picture or two of it later, haha.
As for X-men 3, [...]

Youth Group 5/25, Good For Nothing’s, etc.

Youth Group yesterday was great, and it was the first time I’ve tried the new Interlinc curriculum. It went pretty well.
Then this morning, we helped Barbara Campbell with her garden/yard/tree picking up (just like Monday) but pretty much finished it up today. That’s great…
Sorry for the short post, but more later (X-men 3, [...]

Onyx - Our New Puppy

Yea, you read right, we got another puppy. Jade has been begging for a playmate (not though voice, but through moping around after the Stelzner’s dogs leave). So we went to the pound yesterday and found this puppy. Doesn’t he look cute? Little does he know that he’s going to be neutered [...]

Ubuntu 6.06 Beta

I installed the Ubuntu 6.06 Beta onto our 466 Celeron. I must say that the upgrade is well worth it in terms of speed (even on the old 466!). Everything opens faster. The User Interface is now much more polished and easier to use. I’m looking forward to the full release [...]

Good For Nothing’s at Barbara Cambell’s - Interlinc

The Youth Group spent most of this morning helping Barbara Cambell with her garden. This was another Good For Nothing project, and it was pretty fun. We planted Corn, Beans, Carrots, Potatoes, and several other veggies/flowers. Thanks to Sara, Stephanie, Kimee, Daniel, Carol, Thomas, Ryan, and Sean, we accomplished more than one [...]

365 0 days without an accident

… So, yea. The title pretty much gives away the rest of this post. I went for a full year in my youth ministry without an accident that was more than a bruise or a scratch… until yesterday. During the Good For Nothing project, there was an accident on a 4-wheeler. [...]

YG 5/18, Baccalaureate and final Lights On

For youth group we decided to go to Dairy Queen after the Da Vinci Code Deception movie. That was enjoyable, and as you can see in the pictures, the youth had fun also. Tomorrow the youth (Good For Nothings - a group that does good stuff, for nothing [free]) will be going to [...]
